To help you decide whether to donate to GCRI, we have updated our donate page with three reasons why GCRI is an excellent organization to support:

1. Global catastrophic risk is an important cause. Global catastrophes can affect everyone around the world. Preventing global catastrophes is an efficient way to help a lot of people. Humanity today faces some worrisome threats, making global catastrophic risk an urgent issue to address.

2. GCRI does important work on global catastrophic risk. We help society figure out how it can best respond to global catastrophic risk and helps mobilize people to do so. GCRI is the only organization doing this for the full breadth of global catastrophic risks. We would know: We published the most comprehensive GCR organization directory available.

3. GCRI is a very efficient, cost-effective organization. Our overhead costs are extremely low. GCRI doesn’t even have office space to pay rent on. Instead, we use modern communication technology to work with talented people around the world. Your donations go directly to funding our core staff and activities.
